Air Force One was wheels up at 7.27pm CST as President Barack Obama starts his trip to Nairobi, Kenya on Thursday evening. This was 7 minutes later than scheduled.
The President started the 15 minutes trip to Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, Maryland aboard Marine One from White House. He was pictured walking by himself at the South Lawn dressed in a dark blue suite.
Mr.Obama is expected to stop over at the Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany where the jet will refuel and then set out to Nairobi. His flight time to Germany is expected to be about 7 hours. His total flight time before landing in Nairobi is sixteen and a half hours.
He is accompanied by ten lawmakers comprised of nine Democrats and one Republican
