Jennifer Mbugua who was reported missing late last month has not yet been found contrary to reports that circulated after a search was conducted for he on June 7th,
The family and the Organizing Committee of Jennifer Mbugua refuted reports reiterating that she is still missing and they are still holding on to hope that she will be found.
The family thanked Kenyans and friends of Jennifer for the over whelming show of support, love and prayers that they have received since Jennifer went missing. Kenyans conducted a search for her in Fall River on Saturday June 7, 2014, where about 100 people came to help.
A fundraiser was also held on Sunday June 7th to raise money to assist with hiring a private investigator among other costs.
The family has now been able to retain Private Investigator Thomas Shamshak to assist and advise the family during the investigations.
“However, it has came to our attention that after Saturday search for Jennifer Mbugua in Fall River, false information was sent out that indicated that she has been found,” the family said. “We would like to inform everyone that Jennifer Mbugua is still missing.”
During the search, some people claimed to have seen her on a bus stop, mall, while some claimed to have seen her at a McDonald restaurant. One person also claimed to have sold her a watch.
“All this information was passed on to the Private Investigator. The Private investigator did a follow-up of these leads and they all turned out to be false. Jennifer is still missing and we are asking everyone to continue to support and join the family in praying for her safe return.” the family said.
Jennifer was reported missing on May 28 and her vehicle was found by police in North Attleboro, MA with the car keys still in the ignition key.
